Federal and State Litigation

Mr. Bandas offers his clients a complete service in high-stakes cases. He handles select civil lawsuits before federal and local courts involving civil rights violations; personal injury; medical malpractice actions; and libel, and slander and defamation matters. He also represents clients in matters pertaining to breach of contracts; commercial litigation and disputes; adverse employment and labor law actions and equal employment opportunity grievances based on age, sex, harassment, sexual harassment, and retaliation in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, 42 USC Sec. 2000e et seq., and Puerto Rico Law No. 69 and No. 100; white collar government litigation and investigations; trial and appellate litigation; legislative investigations; the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA); bankruptcy, among other actions.

Mr. Bandas also represents health-care institutions (such as hospital, infusion centers, pharmacies, etc.) in administrative proceedings relating to the granting, modification, and revocation of operational licenses and permits. Likewise, Mr. Bandas represents clients in mediation and arbitration hearings in actions involving breach of contracts, commercial law, and securities.
